The walls of this over 140 years old intimate and peaceful hacienda echo with the history of La Paz and the Baja Peninsula. El ángel azul hacienda is housed in a historic building that once served as the courthouse for the capital. It has been fully restored in 1998 and given a new look after being abandoned for many years and having a lonely life as an ugly ruin.
Our cozy guestrooms surround a spacious garden with lush vegetation and many local cacti.
We are just steps away from the main plaza, the art museum, the cathedral and all the coffee shops and restaurants. La Paz’s promenade, the ‘Malecon’, is only a 10-minute walk away and has plenty of tapas grills and bars for the evening repast and to watch our famous sunsets.
You are invited to use the grounds and the kitchen like being at home. Cook yourself up a feast and sit in the garden with the sound of the fountain babbling in the background and the resident 2 dogs and the birds wandering around your feet. There’s a grocery shop on the corner where you can buy most things you’d need 24/7. For the items you can’t, there’s a larger store a 7-minute walk away. Free Wi-Fi available all around the angel and in your rooms.
We provide a “Welcome Book” where you will have all your questions answered.
You will also have free Wi-Fi in your room and grounds. You can enjoy our Honesty Bar too.
We hope you will have a wonderful and relaxing time with us.
