El Angel Azul

After 15 years of running a successful Bed&Breakfast we are changing our concept of hospitality.

As of June 2014, there are no more meals served at El Angel Azul Hacienda. We want our guests to have independence and a more informal experience and to be able to eat when and as they please.  We have opened our big Mexican kitchen to all staying at the Angel (each guest has their own storage and fridge space). Cook yourself up a feast and sit in the communal gardens with the sound of the fountain babbling in the background and the resident dog and the birds wandering around your feet. There’s a grocery shop on the corner where you can buy most things you’d need 24/7, and for the items you can’t, there’s a larger store a 7-minute walk away.

For those who’d rather not fend for themselves, there’s a bakery and numerous coffee shops less than a 5-minute walk away for breakfast, and dozens of restaurants and cafes for other meals. Every Saturday there is a organic market in the morning a 5 minute walk away. We recommend "Il Rustico" for great pizza & pasta, "Nim" and "Azul Marino" for cool design and international cuisine, "Bismarcito" for exceptional fish tacos and seafood, and "Rancho Viejo" for a great range of tasty Mexican food and meat tacos.

We provide all our guests with a map that features a list of shops and more eateries that we recommend.

You will also have free wifi and free local landline phone calls. You can enjoy our Honesty Bar too.

La Paz’s promenade, the ‘Malecon’, is only a 10-minute walk away and has plenty of tapas grills and bars for the evening repast and to watch our famous sunsets.
